I have created this page to introduce myself, my beliefs and my biography so that you may have a better idea of who is behind the "Mandrakeghost" shop.
Many of you have asked me how often/when I list new items. I list new items almost every Sunday evening, and I occassionally run 10-day auctions starting on Thursday evenings. All of my auctions end on Sunday evenings, so be sure to look for my auctions at the end of every week.
My name is Meena, Ebay username MandrakeGhost, and I am a lifelong collector of the paranormal and strange. Meena Svara is my "spiritual name", and it was chosen to honor the part of my ancestry that I most strongly identify with. I have been extremely psychic since birth, and have both empathic and clairvoyant/clairaudient abilities. My love of the spiritual world coupled with my love of antiques and sacred relics has led me to a passion for collecting and sharing sacred objects. I do not hide behind fanciful images and stories, but offer honest, energetically infused objects and spells gathered from a lifetime of studying the occult. Some of the stories these objects hold are incredibly beautiful and enchanting, and I have so many notebooks filled with notes on everything in my collection. I have amassed an impressive collection of metaphysical objects from various sources, including other private collections, antique shops and estates of occult practitioners. I have always been fascinated by power objects such as religious icons, occult items, haunted items and other surreal and strange objects and items of legend. I have been both a student and collector of the metaphysical for the past 30 years. I took in my first haunted object in my early teens and began giving psychic readings way before that...as young as eight years old. In my career I have worked as a psychic medium, investigator and lecturer on the subjects of exposing and avoiding psychic fraud. I am happy to find the world of online auctions to be a refreshing and unique option for sharing my selected items with other collectors.
In an effort to de-clutter and live more simply, I am in the process of paring down my collection and will be offering various metaphysical and religious objects for sale on EBay. I have so many items that I cannot possibly devote time to studying them any further, and it is a shame that so many of them have been packed away for so many years. This is also a personal quest for me to "detach" from having so many things and to live more simply while at the same time putting these special items into respectful hands. When I noticed that paranormal items were popular on EBay right now, I figured now was as good a time as ever to start sharing some of my items with other collectors and fans of the curious.
I hope that these special items will serve as welcome treasures to other collectors of the paranormal and sacred. I hope also that you will find these items to be a refreshing change from the influx of non-authentic metaphysical items that seem to proliferate the world of auctions. Each item that I list has an incredible history on top of being rare objects in themselves. The energy in these items is palpable. Once you experience one you will understand.
I am fortunate to live in New England, one of the most "haunted" areas of the United States and a hotbed of old ghosts, restless spirits, unusual antiques and magical artifacts. Some of my favorite places to collect have been and continue to be Salem, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Boston, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Many of the items I have acquired come from estates and homes in these areas.Other items have come from as far away as India and Egypt.
I have many items that are attached to legends of hauntings and other paranormal afflictions. I hope that collectors of energy objects will appreciate and be able to tap into the psychometry of these items. Many of these pieces have long stories attached to them, which I always try to share in the greatest detail, providing my memory holds up!
I have also been a practicing sorceress for many years. I do not affiliate with one particular practice, but I instead incorporate the most powerful rituals and aspects of several ancient ways. I am most skilled as a chaos magician, but I also incorporate Native American, Hindu, Shamanic and Wiccan rituals into my practices. Many of these practices have been passed down to me from my own family. I am a combination of East Indian and Cherokee descent, both of which have impacted my spiritual journey greatly. My fathers side of the family was Irish, and my grandmother practiced Celtic magic. I was also born with a caul, a rare veil that forms over the head at birth. According to legend, this was an early sign of my destiny as a psychic and spiritualist. You are purchasing from an authentic spell crafter, conjurer and third generation sorcerer. In addition to objects from my personal collection of curiosities, I also will offer spells, chargings, readings, sigils, and handmade power objects and conjured items. When I have time, I try to combine my love of arts and crafts with my abilities as a sorceress. In this way, I am able to offer one of a kind objects that are also extremely powerful and effective energetics.
I feel it is important to stress two things which I feel strongly about sharing with you if you have read this far:
1. This is not something I do for fun or play. My life is completely devoted to the realms beyond our immediate field of consciousness. For many years, I have been a hermit in every sense of the word. It is difficult for me to function in the normal, everyday dimensions of consciousness. When I lived in India, it was much easier, since the landscape there is much more conducive to a totally spirit related existence. It has taken a great deal of debate and apprehension for me to come forward and engage myself in sharing my items on the Internet in this way. I hope that my extensive knowledge and gifted abilities will be a blessing in someones life. I do not take these auctions or these objects lightly, and I am devoted to finding them respectful homes.
2. In my conjured items, spells and sigils, I work only in THE LIGHT. I would never intentionally conjure a negative or dangerous entity. I do have some objects in my collection that have questionable energies, and I will ALWAYS mention it in my auctions. I DO NOT DEAL IN THE DARK SIDE, for it is THE LIGHT that is much more powerful. There are chaotic energies, trickster energies and astral entities, and I will work with them on occasion...but anything you buy that I have made or cast is always done with the most benevolent of intentions.
